Happy Hour
is always free. We welcome actors, directors, dramaturgs, theatre lovers as well as playwrights. Happy hour is a free workshop taking place on alternating Mondays,  7-9pm.  We read through scripts aloud, followed by a lively, moderated discussion.

LIVE SCRIPT READINGS AND CASTING
If you're on the schedule to have your pages read, you can cast before hand or"scan the room" and cast your play from the available actors.

FREE DRAMATURGY: AFFIRMATION, QUESTIONS, & USEFUL FEEDBACK
Feedback sessions are short & moderated. We use Liz Lerman's Critical Response process 
At the end of each Happy Hour playwrights raise their hands for a chance to have their script worked on at the next session.

             Theatre Week Showcase
The PDC  partners with Philly's annual Theatre Week, showcasing 10 Minute plays incorporating themes of love and heartache.
                     Fringe Medicine 
As part of the annual Free Fringe Philly festival  (FreeFringePhilly.com) the PDC hosts fully staged performances of short plays by our members. 
                                GOTs
     (Guaranteed Overnight Theatre) 
Actors, directors, and playwright's are given 24 hours to write, produce, and perform in an evening of short plays. The ultimate networking & creative program.
                          Bake Off
Members are given "Ingredients" for a short script to be written within 72 hours for an afternoon of script readings.
